Counselling provides us with a safe non-judgemental space in which to explore our inner thoughts and feelings with our counsellor walking side-by-side us through our experience of life. Many of us go through difficult and varied emotions and sometimes we may feel that nobody understands how we feel.
Having another human being sit with us and truly listen to our innermost thoughts, to be heard and understood acknowledging our feelings from our view, helps us to explore and process our emotions leading us to make choices that are right for ourselves. This empowers and supports us to feel more secure and confident in our everyday life.
Whether you’re struggling following a bereavement or loss of any kind or your difficulties stem from long-standing issues such as difficulties in your relationships or your relationship with yourself, the holding in or pushing down of any emotions will have a negative effect on our energy field, and will eventually manifest in the physical. We hold our issues in our tissues.
If we hold on to emotions they can stay in our energy field and cause us to suffer negative reactions. This blocked energy can remain with us on an energetic level leading us to feelings of depression, exhaustion, anxiety and feelings of low self-esteem.
What will happen at my session?
In our initial meeting, we will look at your needs and what you would like to work on, remembering that this is your space and your time. We will decide how we will work together and how I can best support you in your journey. Some clients may wish to combine counselling with sound therapy or crystal healing, or both and some may prefer to just come for counselling. Each client is different, and we will discuss the best approach to support you in your healing journey during your initial consultation.
